St. Louis-based mechanical contractor Wiegmann Associates has begun work on Sheridan assisted-living facilities in Sunset Hills, Chesterfield and Creve Coeur, all based in Missouri.

Working under Chesterfield-based general contractor Brinkmann Constructors, Wiegmann is the project’s engineer of record and installing contractor for HVAC and building automation systems. Chicago-based Senior Lifestyle Corp. is developing the projects, which have a combined completion value of $65 million.

As part of the project, Wiegmann is installing building automation systems in each facility and quieter high-efficiency HVAC systems that reduce long-term maintenance costs and improve humidity control. The company estimates an annual $25,000 savings in energy costs across the three facilities.

The $17 million, 69,000-square-foot, 84-unit facility in Sunset Hills and the $17 million, 42,000-square-foot, 53-unit facility in Creve Coeur are scheduled for completion in early 2017. The $31 million, 84,000-square-foot, 91-unit facility in Chesterfield is scheduled to open by summer 2017.
