Performance Food Group is a distributor specializing in broadline distribution, customized distribution, and processing/delivering of fresh-cut produce throughout the United States. The Houston location is one of 68 distribution centers nationwide.

The project was a renovation of the existing PFG warehouse. Wiegmann added new HVAC for the previously unconditioned warehouse and new refrigeration systems for the freezer and cold dock spaces.

Working within an existing warehouse posed several project challenges.  Roof Top Unit duct drops installed above the new freezer area had to be rerouted to not interfere with the new insulated metal panel (IMP) ceiling. Space requirements above the IMP ceiling made this a challenge.

In addition, the cold dock was extended off of an existing cold dock. Determining the correct load in the space was critical to avoid oversizing or undersizing the new equipment for the new space without impacting the existing space.
