PROJECT CHALLENGE/SOLUTION

Wiegmann implemented HVAC solutions that helped to maintain the historic integrity of this building and minimize the appearance of bulky equipment and ductwork.

PROJECT SCOPE

Wiegmann Associates has completed HVAC work on a $2 million historic renovation on Washington Avenue in Downtown St. Louis for Brick River Cider, the first dedicated cidery in St. Louis. Wiegmann was the design/build HVAC mechanical contractor on the project, which converted a historic firehouse into the cidery and restaurant.

The renovation of the 12,000-square-foot, three story firehouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, created a cider brewing production area and tasting room with a bar that seats 40 guests on the first floor. A second floor kitchen and restaurant that accommodates up to 80 guests.

ENERGY SAVINGS

We installed an energy efficient HVAC system in order to achieve the stringent standards needed to receive LEED Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
