HVAC Mechanical Contractor

PROJECT SCOPE

Wiegmann’s high-efficiency HVAC solution for the five-story Edison Building includes a Rooftop Variable Air Volume (VAV) system with high-efficiency rooftop units, fan terminals and VAV boxes with electric heating coils. Two large rooftop units were installed to serve future tenant offices on the second through fifth floors. Two smaller rooftop units were installed to serve a future food hall as well as retail tenant spaces on the first floor. To maximize energy savings, Wiegmann designed and installed a Direct Digital Control (DDC) Building Automation system using Delta Controls to allow remote access to the HVAC system through a web browser.

PROJECT CHALLENGE

The limited rooftop space for equipment created a design challenge for the team. Wiegmann located equipment and coordinated the shafts to leave room for the significant equipment needed to serve future tenant build outs.
