Anheuser-Busch: Strategic HVAC Partner

SAVING ENERGY YEAR AFTER YEAR

The long-term relationship between Wiegmann Associates and Anheuser-Busch is a true model of how two organizations can effectively drive projects that generate real savings in energy, operational and maintenance costs.

As Anheuser-Busch’s HVAC strategic partner for over 10 years, Wiegmann Associates executed more than $85M in work. The guiding focus on each project was energy savings. We were challenged to achieve a simple payback in three years or less to justify the majority of these projects – and we met this challenge.

The Wiegmann team regularly met with Anheuser-Busch to develop a deep understanding of their operations and identify facilities that would be ideal candidates for energy improvements.

We completed a comprehensive energy study of each identified facility, which included most Anheuser-Busch breweries and metal container factories as well as glass, packaging and label plants from coast to coast. Armed with this insight, we engineered innovative solutions that improved the HVAC systems and operations while significantly reducing energy consumption.

Our work saves in excess of $10M in energy costs per year. To date, energy savings has exceeded $120M and will continue each year. Additional savings were realized from improved operational efficiencies as a result of the consistent thermal environments at these plants.
