HVAC Design & Installation for Educational Facilities

HVAC for the Education Industry
Educational facilities require specially engineered HVAC systems to address their unique thermal and acoustical needs.
Our innovative design for these facilities focuses on occupant comfort, energy savings and long-term performance, augmented by efficient building automation systems.
We understand the demands of educational schedules and are experienced at working in occupied facilities and on strict timelines.
Education HVAC Challenges We've Tackled:
- Completed a $13M program for Parkway North High School while school was in session, often working in tight mechanical rooms and spaces. Installed energy efficient chillers and boilers, a new rooftop unit with an energy recovery wheel, and new VAV boxes and sound attenuators.
- Engineered and installed a new HVAC system for the eight-building Simon St. Louis Premium Outlet Mall. Met a tight schedule through organization and efficiency, setting 181 rooftop units in a single day.
- Installed a new HVAC system on a strict schedule for the 220,000 sf Liberty High School. Value engineered several areas of design to simplify construction and speed completion.
- The new Marshall Elementary in Fort Campbell, KY was built to the latest Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) 21st Century Design specifications. As the Mechanical Construction Manager, Wiegmann coordinated, procured equipment and installed HVAC systems. The design specifications required the school to be flexible, adaptable and facilitate innovative instruction delivery.
