Restoring The Congressional Building as the new headquarters for transportation insurance firm Baldwin & Lyons required a complete renovation of the HVAC system.
Wiegmann demolished all old ducting and VAV boxes, installed new economizer air system throughout the building, replaced chillers, and replaced chiller pumps and piping. We also installed and programmed a new Direct Digital Control (DDC) system.
The project involved massive rigging and hole cutting to supply conditioned air to each floor of the building. Providing relief airflow to maintain proper building pressure also was a challenging of this project.
