 PROJECT SCOPE

Wiegmann Associates engineered HVAC and plumbing systems as part of a $25 million modernization project at the U.S. Navy’s premier Pacific Northwestern naval aviation installation.

The 74,000 square-foot project included the renovation of a 43,000 square-foot hangar and administrative building and the construction of a new 31,000 square-foot, two story addition.

Wiegmann Associates installed HVAC, plumbing and radiant heat systems, and high and low pressure systems to deliver compressed air throughout the facility. In addition, we removed an existing steam and two-pipe heating system, retrofitted the two-story building with an energy efficient HVAC system, and renovated plumbing throughout the facility.

ENERGY SAVINGS

We installed an energy efficient HVAC system in order to achieve the stringent standards needed to receive LEED Silver Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
